Walter P Moore is seeking an entry-level Design Engineer I with a focus on Traffic Engineering to join their team in Bengaluru. This is a consulting role where you will work with experienced engineers and technicians to design and implement various traffic projects.

Role Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the analysis, design, and implementation phases of traffic engineering projects. Specific project types include:

  • Traffic Studies: Conducting and assisting with Traffic Impact Studies and Traffic Operations Studies.

  • Capacity Analysis: Performing and supporting capacity analysis for roadway networks.

  • Design & Planning: Working on the design of elements such as traffic signals, signal timing plans, signing, striping, lighting, and traffic control plans.

As a consulting engineer, a proactive, customer-service attitude and excellent written and oral communication skills are essential for success. You will also have access to the in-house professional development program, MOORELearning.

Qualifications

  • Education: A BS or MS in Civil Engineering is required, with a transportation emphasis preferred.

  • Certification: Must have your EIT (Engineer-in-Training) designation required or achieve a passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam within 6 months of hire.

  • Experience: This role is suitable for 0 to 5 years of experience.

  • Technical Skills (A Strong Plus): Experience with key traffic analysis software is highly valued, including Synchro, HCS (Highway Capacity Software), Arc GIS, VISSIM, and TransCad.

  • Communication: Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
